Săsciori is a village in Alba County, Romania, with a population of 2,327. It is located in the Transylvania region, at an altitude of 270 meters above sea level. The village has a temperate climate, with average temperatures ranging from -2°C in January to 22°C in July. Săsciori was first mentioned in 1299, and it was part of the Kingdom of Hungary until 1526, when it became part of the Ottoman Empire. In 1699, it became part of the Habsburg Monarchy, and in 1867 it became part of the Kingdom of Romania. Săsciori has a rich cultural heritage, with many historical monuments and traditional crafts.
