Sapanca, also known as Mudanya, is a town in the Sakarya Province of Turkey, located at the eastern end of Lake Sapanca, approximately 120 kilometers southeast of Istanbul. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild, rainy winters. Sapanca has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Byzantine era, and is home to several historical landmarks, including the Mudanya Armistice House, where the Armistice of Mudanya was signed in 1922, ending the Greco-Turkish War of 1919-1922.
