Santa Maria Imbaro is a comune in the Province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The town is located at an elevation of 240 meters (787 feet) above sea level and has a population of around 1,800 people. The climate is temperate, with hot summers and mild winters. Santa Maria Imbaro has a long history, dating back to the Roman era. The town was once part of the Duchy of Spoleto and later the Kingdom of Naples. In the 19th century, Santa Maria Imbaro became part of the newly unified Kingdom of Italy. The town is home to several historical sites, including the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, which was built in the 13th century.
