Sanborn is a hamlet in the town of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York, United States. It is located at the intersection of New York State Route 104 and County Road 76, about 7 miles (11 km) east of Niagara Falls. The hamlet was founded in 1826 by John Sanborn, a farmer from Massachusetts. It was originally known as Sanborn's Corners, but the name was later shortened to Sanborn. The hamlet has a population of about 1,500 people and is home to several businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, and a gas station. The hamlet is also home to the Sanborn Historical Society, which maintains a museum that tells the story of the hamlet's history.
