San Ġwann, also known as San Gwann, is a small town located in the central part of Malta, approximately 6 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Valletta. The town has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. San Ġwann has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Middle Ages when it was part of the feudal system of the Knights of St. John. Today, the town is a popular residential area and is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist and the San Ġwann Chapel.
