Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, formerly known as Saint-Gervais or Vérosse, is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. It is located at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe, and is a popular destination for skiing and other winter sports. The town has a long history dating back to the Roman era, and is home to a number of historical monuments, including the 12th-century Église Saint-Gervais. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters.
