Saint-Gaudens, Midi-Pyrénées, France, is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France. It is located on the left bank of the Garonne River, about 60 km (37 mi) southwest of Toulouse. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and hot summers. The town was founded in the 11th century by the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Cluny. It was named after Saint Gaudens, a bishop of Toulouse who died in 840 AD. The town's heritage includes the 12th-century Church of Saint-Gaudens, the 15th-century Château de Montpezat, and the 16th-century Hôtel de Ville.
