Sacoşu Turcesc is a village in Romania, located in the north-western part of the country, in Timiș County. The village is situated at an altitude of 80 meters above sea level, in the Banat region. The climate is temperate continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual temperature is 11.2 °C (52.2 °F), and the average annual precipitation is 600 mm (24 in). The village was first mentioned in historical records in 1332, and it was originally inhabited by Hungarians. In the 16th century, the village was conquered by the Ottoman Turks, and it remained under Ottoman rule until 1718. After the Treaty of Passarowitz, the village became part of the Habsburg Empire. In 1918, the village became part of Romania. The village is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church, and the village museum.
