Rüdenau is a municipality in the district of Miltenberg in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Odenwald forest, about 15 km east of Miltenberg and 30 km south of Aschaffenburg. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C in January to 18°C in July. The municipality has a long history, dating back to the 12th century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1182. In the 14th century, it was acquired by the Counts of Wertheim. In the 16th century, it became Protestant. In the 19th century, it became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria. Today, Rüdenau is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful scenery and its historic buildings.
