Royersford, Pennsylvania, is a small borough located in Montgomery County, about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The borough has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Royersford was founded in 1719 by German immigrants and was originally known as Royer's Ford. The borough is home to several historic sites, including the Royersford Foundry and Machine Company, which was founded in 1853 and is still in operation today.
