Roskoshnoye (also known as Tel'mana) is a village in the Luhans'ka Oblast of eastern Ukraine, near the border with Russia. It is located at 48.4916700 latitude and 39.2750000 longitude in the Eastern European Time Zone. The village has a humid continental climate with warm, wet summers and cold, snowy winters. The average temperature in January is -5.8°C (21.6°F) and in July is 20.6°C (69.1°F). The village was founded in 1750 as Kozlyach'ye and was renamed Roskoshnoye in 1938. It was renamed Tel'mana in 1961 after Ernst Thälmann, a German communist leader. The village was renamed Roskoshnoye in 2016 as part of Ukraine's decommunization efforts.
