Rîşnov, also known as Rosenau, is a town in central Romania, situated in Braşov County. Located at an altitude of 590 meters, the town enjoys a temperate climate with an average temperature of 10°C (50°F) and an average annual rainfall of 600 mm (24 in). Rîşnov has a rich history dating back to the 13th century, when it was first mentioned in documents. The town is home to several historical landmarks, including the Rîşnov Fortress, built by the Teutonic Knights in the 14th century, and the Evangelical Church, built in the 15th century.
