Ricardo is a small town in Kleberg County, Texas, United States, with a population of 1,014 as of the 2020 census. It is located on U.S. Highway 77, approximately 12 miles (19 km) north of Kingsville and 40 miles (64 km) south of Corpus Christi. The town was founded in 1910 by the Ricardo Sugar Company, and it has a rich history in the sugar industry. The climate in Ricardo is subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town is home to a number of historic buildings, including the Ricardo Sugar Mill, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
