Reading, Ohio, is a small city located in the southwestern part of the state, just north of Cincinnati. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Reading was founded in 1803 by John Cleves Symmes and was named after the city of Reading, Pennsylvania. The city has a rich history and heritage, and is home to a number of historic sites, including the Reading Historic District and the John Cleves Symmes House.
