Ramos Arizpe, also known as Arizpe, is a city located in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila, approximately 15 miles southeast of the state capital, Saltillo. The city has a temperate climate with an average temperature of 64°F (18°C) throughout the year. Ramos Arizpe was founded in 1689 by Spanish colonists and was originally named San Miguel de Aguayo. It was later renamed in honor of Miguel Ramos Arizpe, a prominent Mexican politician and signer of the Mexican Declaration of Independence. The city is known for its rich cultural heritage, which includes a number of historical landmarks and museums.
