Rājgurunagar, formerly known as Rajgurunagar, is a city in the Indian state of Mahārāshtra. It is located in the Pune district, about 50 kilometers northeast of the city of Pune. The city has a tropical climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Rājgurunagar was founded in the 17th century by the Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj. It was originally known as Rajgurunagar, after the saint Rajguru, who was Shivaji's spiritual advisor. The city was renamed Rājgurunagar in 1997. Rājgurunagar is home to several historical and heritage sites, including the Rajgad Fort, the Torna Fort, and the Sinhagad Fort.
