Quer is a municipality in the province of Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is located in the east of the province, on the border with the province of Cuenca, at an altitude of 855 meters. The climate is continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The town has a population of around 1000 inhabitants and its economy is based on agriculture and livestock. Quer has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Middle Ages. The town was founded in the 12th century by the Knights Templar, and its castle is one of the best-preserved examples of Templar architecture in Spain.
