Qindu is a town in China's Shaanxi Province, located at 34.1025°N, 108.7508°E, in the Wei River valley. The town has a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Qindu has a long history, dating back to the Qin dynasty (221-206 BCE), when it was known as Ch'in-tu. The town was an important center of trade and commerce during the Tang dynasty (618-907 CE), and was later renamed Qindu during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644 CE). Today, Qindu is a major agricultural center, known for its production of wheat, corn, and cotton. The town is also home to several historical and cultural sites, including the Qindu Ancient City Wall and the Qindu Confucian Temple.
