Qazyqurt is a city in southern Kazakhstan, located in the Ongtüstik Qazaqstan region. It has a population of approximately 25,000 people and is situated at an elevation of 380 meters above sea level. The city experiences a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters, with average temperatures ranging from -15°C in January to 25°C in July. Qazyqurt was founded in 1936 and was originally named Lenin, after the Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin. It was renamed Qazyqurt in 1993. The city is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Qazyqurt Mausoleum, which is believed to date back to the 11th century.
