Pylíon is a municipality in the Magnesia regional unit, Greece. It is located on the Pilion peninsula, which is situated between the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean Sea. The municipality has a population of 10,860 (2011 census). The climate of Pylíon is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The municipality has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the ancient Greek period. The area was first inhabited by the Pelasgians, who were later displaced by the Greeks. The Greeks established several cities in the area, including Halos, Iolkos, and Olizon. The area was later conquered by the Romans, who renamed it Pelasgiotis. The area was then part of the Byzantine Empire, and later the Ottoman Empire. The municipality of Pylíon was created in 1997.
