The city has a tropical climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Pūrnia has a rich history and heritage, and is home to many historical and religious sites. The city was founded in the 16th century by the Mughal emperor Akbar, and was once a major center of trade and commerce. Pūrnia is also home to the famous Pūrnia University, which was established in 1960.
