The town has a population of approximately 34,000 people and is home to Washington State University. Pullman has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. The town was founded in 1881 as a railroad town and was named after George Pullman, the inventor of the Pullman sleeping car. Pullman has a rich history and heritage, with many buildings and landmarks dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
