Puerto Lumbreras, also known as Lumbreras, is a municipality in the autonomous community of the Region of Murcia, Spain, located at an altitude of 253 meters above sea level and with an area of 141.4 km2. It is located in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Guadalentín Valley, next to the Sierra de la Pila and the Sierra de las Estancias. It has a Mediterranean climate, with average temperatures ranging from 10°C in winter to 35°C in summer. The municipality has a rich history, with archaeological remains from the Neolithic period and settlements from the Roman and Arab periods. Its heritage includes the Church of San Pedro, built in the 16th century, and the ruins of the medieval castle of Lumbreras.
