Pteleós, also known as Ftelio, is a small town in Greece located in the Magnesia regional unit of Thessaly, central Greece. It is situated on the Pagasetic Gulf, at the foot of Mount Ossa, and has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters. The town has a long history dating back to ancient times, and its heritage is reflected in its many historical sites, including the ruins of the ancient city of Pteleon, which was once an important port and commercial center.
