Prospect is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. It is located in the central Naugatuck Valley region of the state, approximately 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Hartford and 20 miles (32 km) northeast of New Haven. The town has a population of 9,400 (2020 census). Prospect was originally part of the town of Waterbury, and was incorporated as a separate town in 1827. The town is home to a number of historic sites, including the Seth Thomas Clock Museum and the Prospect Congregational Church.
