Polling is a village in the district of Weilheim-Schongau, in Bavaria, Germany. It is located at an elevation of 565 meters (1,854 feet) above sea level, in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. The village has a population of about 3,500 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C (30°F) in January to 18°C (64°F) in July. Polling has a long history, dating back to the 8th century. It was once a Benedictine monastery, and the former monastery church is now a parish church. The village is also home to a number of other historical buildings, including a castle and a town hall.
