Polangui is a municipality located in the province of Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines. It is situated at 13.2923°N 123.4855°E, in the central part of the province. The municipality has a tropical climate, with an average temperature of 27°C. Polangui has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the pre-colonial period. The town was founded in 1606 by Franciscan missionaries, and was named after the Polangui River. The town played an important role in the Philippine Revolution, and was the site of several battles between Filipino revolutionaries and Spanish forces. Polangui is also home to several historical landmarks, including the Polangui Church, which was built in 1611 and is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.
