Podgornoye is a village in Tomsk Oblast, Russia, located at the confluence of the Podgornaya and Ob rivers, approximately 57°47′N 82°39′E. The village has a cold continental climate, with long, cold winters and short, warm summers. Podgornoye was founded in 1620 as a fort to protect the Russian border from nomadic tribes. It played a significant role in the development of Siberia and served as a major trading post and transportation hub.
