Plaue, also known as Plaue, is a town in the district of Ilm-Kreis, in Thuringia, Germany. It is located at an altitude of 330 meters (1,080 feet) above sea level, on the northern edge of the Thuringian Forest, and has a population of approximately 1,900 people.
