Piastów is a town in the Masovian Voivodeship of Poland, located at the coordinates 52.1843500 latitude and 20.8395200 longitude. The town has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. It is located in the central part of Poland, about 20 kilometers southwest of Warsaw. The town was first mentioned in 1338 and was granted town rights in 1429. It was a center of trade and commerce in the Middle Ages and was also the site of a number of battles during the Polish-Swedish wars. Today, Piastów is a thriving town with a population of over 20,000 people.
