Pervomayskaya is a town in the Grozny District of the Chechen Republic, Russia, located in the northern foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, on the banks of the Sunzha River. The climate is humid continental, with hot summers and cold winters. Pervomayskaya was founded in 1858 as a Cossack village and was originally known as Novogrozny. It was renamed Pervomayskaya in 1963. The town is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1860, and the Museum of Local Lore.
