Panadura, also known as Panadure or Pandura, is a city in the Western Province of Sri Lanka, located at the mouth of the Bolgoda River, 16 miles (26 kilometers) south of Colombo. The city experiences a tropical climate with average temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius (77 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit) throughout the year. Panadura has a rich history, dating back to the 16th century when it was a major trading port. The city is home to several historical sites, including the Panadura Dutch Fort, which was built in 1676, and the Panadura Viharaya, a Buddhist temple that dates back to the 13th century.
