Oswego is a city in Labette County, Kansas, United States, located at the confluence of the Neosho and Verdigris Rivers. It has a population of 1,829 as of the 2020 census. The city was founded in 1869 by a group of settlers from Oswego, New York. The city is home to the Oswego State University, which was founded in 1865. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters.
