Osage City is a city in Osage County, Kansas, United States. It is located at 38.6339°N 95.8258°W, in the Flint Hills region of eastern Kansas. The city has a population of 2,864 (2020 census). Osage City was founded in 1869 by a group of settlers from Osage County, Missouri. The city was named after the Osage River, which flows through the area. Osage City is home to the Osage County Historical Society Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts and documents related to the history of Osage County. The city also has a number of parks and recreation areas, including the Osage City Municipal Park and the Osage City Golf Course.
