Orland Hills is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, located about 25 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The village has a population of around 7,000 and is known for its quiet, suburban atmosphere and its proximity to the city. The weather in Orland Hills is typical of the Midwest, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The village was founded in 1833 by a group of German immigrants and was originally known as Bremen. The name was changed to Orland Hills in 1957.
