Ontur, also known as Ontar, is a municipality in the province of Albacete, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. It is located at an altitude of 698 m above sea level, on the left bank of the Júcar River, at a distance of 27 km from Albacete. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual temperature is 14.4 °C. The history of Ontur dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was a Moorish stronghold. It was conquered by the Christians in the 13th century and became part of the Kingdom of Castile. The town's heritage includes the Church of San Antonio Abad, built in the 16th century, and the Hermitage of San Roque, built in the 18th century.
