Onokhoy is a selo in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia, located at the confluence of the Selenga and Ivolga rivers. The climate is sharply continental, with long cold winters and short hot summers. Onokhoy was founded in 1666 as a Cossack ostrog, and has since been a center of trade and transportation. It is home to the Onokhoy Monastery, founded in 1681, and the Onokhoy Museum, which houses a collection of local history and culture.
