Oldsmar, Florida, is a city in Pinellas County, located on the northern shore of Old Tampa Bay. It is known for its beautiful waterfront and proximity to Tampa and Clearwater. The city has a subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters. Oldsmar was originally inhabited by the Tocobaga Indians, and was later settled by Spanish and English colonists. The city was named after George Oldsmar, a railroad developer who built the Oldsmar and Safety Harbor Railroad in 1884.
