Okeene is a town in Blaine County, Oklahoma, United States, located at latitude 36.1161500 and longitude -98.3170200. It is situated in the central part of the state, approximately 50 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Okeene was founded in 1893 as a stop on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. It was named after the Okeene tribe of Native Americans who lived in the area. The town has a rich heritage and is home to several historic buildings, including the Okeene City Hall and the Okeene Methodist Church.
