Ofterdingen is a municipality in the district of Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located in the Neckar Valley, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) south of Tübingen. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C (32°F) in January to 20°C (68°F) in July. Ofterdingen has a rich history, dating back to the 12th century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1185. The town was destroyed by fire in 1634 during the Thirty Years' War, but was rebuilt shortly thereafter. Ofterdingen is home to several historical buildings, including the 15th-century St. Martin's Church and the 17th-century Town Hall.
