Offida, The Marches, Italy

Offida is a hilltop town in the Marche region of central Italy, located about 20 km (12 mi) south of Ascoli Piceno. The town has a population of about 5,000 people and is known for its medieval architecture, including the 13th-century Palazzo Comunale and the 14th-century Church of Santa Maria della Rocca. Offida is also home to a number of wineries and olive groves, and is known for its production of Rosso Piceno Superiore wine and Offida DOC olive oil. The town has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and cool, wet winters.
