Oak Park, also known as Ouk-Park or Оук-Парк, is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. Located in the San Fernando Valley region of the city, Oak Park is bordered by the neighborhoods of Woodland Hills to the west, Tarzana to the north, Encino to the east, and Sherman Oaks to the south. The neighborhood is known for its large population of Russian-speaking immigrants, who have given the area the nickname "Little Moscow." Oak Park has a Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The neighborhood was originally developed in the early 20th century as a farming community. In the 1950s, Oak Park began to experience a population boom, as many families moved to the area from the more densely populated areas of Los Angeles. Today, Oak Park is a diverse, vibrant community with a strong sense of identity.
