Nzérékoré, also known as Nzerekore, is a city in southeastern Guinea, located at the confluence of the Milo and Niger Rivers. The city has a tropical savanna climate, with hot, dry summers and warm, wet winters. Nzérékoré was founded in the 19th century by the Kpelle people, and it became a major center of trade in the region. The city is home to a number of historical sites, including the Great Mosque of Nzérékoré and the Palace of the Kpelle King.
