North Grosvenor Dale is a village in the town of Thompson, Connecticut, located at 41.9856500 latitude and -71.8986800 longitude. The village has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. North Grosvenor Dale was first settled in 1713 and was originally known as "The Gore." The village was renamed in 1836 after Sir Robert Grosvenor, the owner of the land on which the village was built. North Grosvenor Dale is home to several historic buildings, including the Grosvenor Dale Mill, which was built in 1810 and is one of the oldest cotton mills in the United States.
