Niedertiefenbach is a municipality in the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located in the central part of the state, approximately 10 kilometers west of Limburg an der Lahn. The municipality has a population of around 1,000 people and covers an area of approximately 6 square kilometers. The climate in Niedertiefenbach is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C in January to 20°C in July. The municipality was first mentioned in a document from 1289. It was part of the County of Nassau until 1806, when it became part of the Duchy of Nassau. In 1866, the Duchy of Nassau was annexed by Prussia, and Niedertiefenbach became part of the German Empire. After World War II, Niedertiefenbach became part of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
