Newfield, Maine, is a town in York County with a population of 1,503 as of 2020. It is located in southwestern Maine, approximately 20 miles northwest of Portland. The town was settled in 1778 and incorporated in 1794. Newfield has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town is home to several historical sites, including the Newfield Congregational Church, which was built in 1832, and the Newfield Town Hall, which was built in 1850.
