New Washington, also known as Port Washington, is a town in Western Visayas, Philippines, located on the northern coast of Panay Island. It has a tropical climate, with an average temperature of 27°C and humidity of 78%. The town was founded in 1869 by Spanish colonizers and named after George Washington. It has a rich heritage, including the historic Santo Niño Church and the ruins of the old Spanish fort.
