New Middletown, Ohio, is a small village located in Mahoning County, in the northeastern part of the state. The village has a humid continental climate, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. New Middletown was founded in 1812 and was originally known as Middleton. The village was renamed New Middletown in 1849 to avoid confusion with another town of the same name. New Middletown has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historical sites, including the New Middletown Historical Society Museum and the New Middletown United Methodist Church.
