Néa Magnisía, formerly known as Arapli, is a village in the region of Kentriki Makedonia, Greece. Located at an altitude of 130 meters (427 feet), it enjoys a temperate climate with mild winters and warm summers. The village's history dates back to the Ottoman era, when it was a Muslim-populated settlement known as Lakhanokipos. In 1922, following the population exchange between Greece and Turkey, the Muslim population was replaced by Greek refugees from Asia Minor. Today, Néa Magnisía is a thriving community with a strong agricultural tradition, known for its production of cotton, wheat, and tobacco.
