Nanchong, a city in Sichuan, China, is situated in the eastern part of the province, approximately 130 kilometers (81 miles) northeast of Chengdu. The city has a subtropical climate with humid summers and mild winters. Nanchong has a rich history and cultural heritage, having been established as a county in the Qin dynasty (221-206 BC). During the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD), it served as the capital of the Shu Han kingdom.
